International Conference Organization and Committee Members
The college has organized a series of international conferences and workshops, including the Eighth International Conference on Swarm Intelligence (ICSI’2016), the International Conference on Data Mining and Big Data(DMBD2016), The 6th International Multidisciplinary Conference on Optofluidics (Optofluidics 2016), The 8th Annual IEEE International Conference on Nano/Micro Engineered and Molecular Systems (IEEE-NEMS 2013), IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS 2013), ICSICT 2016, ISLPED, and so on. As shown in Figure 5-1, about 13 conferences and workshops are organized by EECS each year, and during 2012-2017, more than 60 has been organized by EECS. The Joint Workshop on Machine Perception and Robotics is a bilateral academic workshop organized by PKU and Japanese Universities, which has been held for 12 years.
IEEE International Conference on Nano/Micro Engineered and Molecular Systems, Initiated by Haixia Zhang and other professors at 2006, now it already became the IEEE NTC flag conference. International Contest of Innovation (iCAN Contest) is also initiated by Haixia Zhang at 2007, now it already is the TOP innovation contest worldwide.
From July 31st to August 5th, 2016, the college has organized the 33rd International Conference on the Physics of Semiconductors (ICPS 2016) in Beijing, China, with a great success. ICPS2016 is a premier biennial meeting for reporting all aspects of semiconductor physics including electronic, structural, optical, and magnetic and transport properties. Reflecting the state of the art developments in semiconductor physics, ICPS 2016 served as an international forum for scholars, researchers, and specialists across the globe to discuss future research directions and technological advancements.
